The one missing element is a single play pause button that is sizable. Answer: A single play/pause button audio player will come as a new ’skin’ in Amazing Audio Player next version. Currently, for the ’Bar’ skin, if you hide all other buttons, change the width of the player, it will be a ’single button’ player. It’s fairly simple. You just need to call the play method on the audio DOM object when something is clicked. The something could be an image, text, link, or whatever suits. Here’s one possible way.
Amazing Audio Player is an easy-to-use Windows app that enables you to create HTML5 audio player for your website. The audio player works on iPhone, iPad, Android, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge. It can also be published as a WordPress Audio Player Plugin, Joomla Audio Player Module or Drupal Audio Player Module.
Perhaps a “Play Video” button of your own creation lives on your page and you want to start that video when that button is clicked. That’s JavaScript territory. And if that video is a YouTube or Vimeo video, we’ll need to make use of the APIs they provide. Well, your sound is played — on the server. And the purpose of it? If your server host had the speakers, the best you could achieve would be the neural disorder in service personnel like system administrators.:-) Thinks about learning how Web works before doing your development. You really need it.Examples - More ExamplesSocial mediaFeatures
The HTML5 audio player works on iPhone, iPad, Android, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft EdgeReady for Dreamweaver, Frontpage, WordPress, Joomla and Drupal
The HTML5 audio player can be easily inserted into HTML editors like Dreamweaver and Frontpage. Or it can be created as a WordPress Audio Player plugin, Joomla Audio Player module or Drupal Audio Player module. You can also insert multiple audio players into one web page.
With the pre-made templates, you can create professional bar-style audio player or audio player with playlist.
You don’t need to convert your mp3 files to any format, the player will play the mp3 files directly. Since Firefox does not support mp3 format in its HTML player, you can also add an optional ogg audio file for it.
Amazing Audio Player is a full-functional audio player. Its features also include random playing, auto playing, loop playing, progress bar and volume bar. You can also customise the player with CSS and your own background image.
By selecting the option ’create a fullwidth audio player’, you can easily create a responsive HTML5 audio player for your website.
Amazing Audio Player can be used to play an audio live streaming URL or remote mp3 URL.Automatically play music files on your website when a page loads
by Christopher Heng, thesitewizard.com

If you code your web pages using a text editor (as opposed to using a visual web editor likeDreamweaver),you may be wondering how you might go about adding background music to your web pages. While this is not a questionI encounter often at thesitewizard.com, I do get the occasional music aficionado sending me this query, hence this article.Issues Surrounding Background Music
Before you start, you should be aware thatbackground music that automaticallystarts playing when a web page is loaded may not be appreciated by a large number of your visitors. Some of them, when greetedwith the sudden blaring of music from their speakers, may immediately hit the BACK button of their browsers. This may occur evenif you’re playing a piece of music that you think is well loved by everyone: remember, there are people who surf the Internet inpublic libraries, at work, or in the dead of the night when others are asleep. Others may already have their favourite(’favorite’ in US English)piece of music playing on their computer speakers, and your auto-playing music file will only cause them to be annoyed.
Even if you are satisfied that your website has the type of target audience that will enjoyyour background music, there are alternatives to automatically playing music that you mightwant to consider. For example, giving visitors a link which they can click to play musicwould allow you to showcase your music while remaining sensitive to your visitors’ preferences.Instructions on how to accomplish this, as well as how to implement autoplaying music, are given below.Playing Music Only When a Link is Clicked
If you have a music file (such as an MP3 file) that you want played when a visitorclicks a link, put HTML code like the following on your page:<a href=’yourmusicfile.mp3’>Play music</a>
Replace the ’yourmusicfile.mp3’ with the appropriate filename. Note that the above HTML codeworks for ’.wav’ and ’.mid’ files as well (or anything else for that matter). How to Embed Background Music on Your Web Site

Update: For a modern treatment on how to include music on your website, please readHow to Play Musicor Audio on a Website with HTML (HTML5) instead.
This rest of this article (below) is obsolete. It was written at a time when Netscape 4 and Internet Explorer 4were the browsers used by the majority of people. (’What is Netscape?’ you say. My point precisely.)It even talks about a type of music file (midi) that you rarely see on the Internet any more. It isleft here mainly for historical interest. You can safely skip directly to theupdatedversion here.
The problem with embedding background music is that the different browsers out there havetheir own methods of implementing embedded music files.
For all versions of Netscape, as well as Internet Explorer (’IE’) 3.0 and above, you can use the following code:<embed src=’yourmusicfile.mid’ autostart=’true’ loop=’true’
width=’2’ height=’0’>
</embed>
The width and height attribute given above causes the player to be invisible. If you do notwant it to be invisible, you can specify your own dimensions to suit your site decor.
For Opera and all IE versions, the following code works:
As you probably have noticed, IE 3.0 and above support both methods, so you cannot simply putboth those tags into your web document in the hope of supporting all browsers. It willwork on Netscape and early versions of IE, but the newer versions of IE will recognizeboth tags, leading to problems when IE tries to load the music file twice.
The workaround that I’ve seen on some sites, that seems to work for me, is to enclose theBGSOUND tag inside NOEMBED tags, thus preventing IE from interpreting the second tag.<embed src=’yourmusicfile.mid’ autostart=’true’ loop=’true’
width=’2’ height=’0’>
</embed>
<noembed>
<bgsound src=’yourmusicfile.mid’ loop=’infinite’>
</noembed>

This code appears to be compatible with all versions of IE, Netscape and Opera.Fixing Your Web Server’s MIME Types
If, after putting the above code on your site and uploading your music file, your music doesnot automatically play in IE, Netscape or Opera, it is possible that your web server is notsending the browser the correct MIME type. In order for the browser to know how to handlethe file, your web server needs to be configured to send the correct information about the file. For example, for MIDI files, the web server should send the browser a ’Content-Type’ header of’audio/midi’.
You can find out if your server has been correctly configured by starting up Netscape, invoking the ’View’ menu and selecting the ’Page Info’ item on that menu. (I’m referring toversion 4.7x of Netscape - the item may be labelled differently on other versionsof Netscape.) The MIME type of your music file will be displayed (among other things).
If the MIME type is incorrect, contact your web host to have them fix it. If your website runson an Apache web server, and your host has configured it to allow you to override its settingsusing a .htaccess file, you can set up the MIME type yourself. For example, if you haveMIDI files with a file extension of ’.midi’, you might add the following line to your.htaccess file:Audio Play Button Simple Audio Play Button For Your Site Website
If you don’t have any existing .htaccess file, you can simply create one using anASCII text editor and upload it to the top directory of your website. Remember,Microsoft Word and Wordpad are *not* ASCII text editors. Also note that this method onlyworks for Apache servers configured to allow .htaccess overrides. If this is not the casefor you (for example, if your site runs on a Windows machine running IIS), you will probablyhave to get your web host to fix the problem.Browser Plug-in Problems
Sometimes you may encounter a situation where the embedded code works for you but not forothers using the same version of the same browser.Audio Push
This situation may occur when the person has installed some other software that has replacedthe default browser plug-in to handle the music file type. For example, various multimediaplayers (like QuickTime) replace the browser’s default plugins when they are installed. The replacement plugins may not function in quite the same way as the default plugin for thebrowser, leading to your code not working as expected.
There’s probably little you can do to prevent this from happening, short of posting noticeseverywhere on your site telling people not to install such-and-such a software, whichis of course ludicrous. If you insist on putting auto-playing sound files on your web page,my recommendation is that you ensure that your page makes sense whether or not those soundsare played on your visitor’s machine. That is, don’t auto-play a sound file that providesvital information that the visitor needs to understand your web page - unless of course you alsoprovide a clickable link on the page that allows him to hear the information should his browsernot autoplay the sound file.
Like many other aspects of coding for the web, putting music on the web requires acertain amount of defensive coding. Even then, there will probably be a percentage of visitorswho will not be able to view/hear your site the way you intended.

This is the story of “Priscilla,” a 98cc Villiers Midget gas engine sent to me by my good friends Jim and Helen French of Leicester, England. Helen is the author of GEM’S ‘Stationary Engine List’ (SEL) column.

Jim, Helen and their two sons, Tom and Christian, have visited the United States three times, and the engine show in Portland, Ind., has been the centerpiece of their visit each time. A few engines have followed them home to England, but this time they sent one our way.
Villiers engines are very common in England, and most people there wouldn’t give them the time of day. Here in the states, however, they are rare. I have attended the Portland show for the past 15 years, and I don’t remember ever seeing a Villiers engine there. While some Villiers engines came to the states powering motorcycles, I have never seen one exhibited.Villiers Stationary Engine Serial Numbers List
Relax, it’s FedEx
On Feb. 26, 2004, Priscilla was shipped via FedEx from Kibworth, a village just south of Leicester in the center of England. Priscilla arrived in the U.S. around midnight the same day at the FedEx hub in Memphis, Tenn. Jim has a twin to this engine, and after tracking my engine to Tennessee, Jim decided to name his Villiers ‘Elvis.’ Thus, mine was named Priscilla.
By 8:30 a.m. on the following day, the box containing Priscilla was sitting in Mansfield, Ohio, waiting to be trucked to me. By about 1 p.m., it was in my hometown of Wharton, Ohio, a small community of 350 people. Only one little problem existed: There was no street address on the box, which had been shipped across the world addressed with only a post office box number.
The Wharton post office was closed for lunch when the FedEx truck rolled into town. The rest of the streets have been rolled up – there are no businesses in town. The driver called back to his depot to get them to call me and try to get an address for delivery. They called, and after a few questions on the phone the FedEx folks decided they had the right person. I should point out that I’m not the only Leroy Clark in this area. Another Leroy Clark (no relation) lives about 6 miles from me, both of us use our middle name, and he, too, was born and raised in this area. While he is older than I, his wife and my wife also have similar names.
I gave the FedEx folks our street address, and as I hung the phone back on the hook a FedEx truck pulled up out front, the driver talking on his cell phone with the FedEx depot. Seems he ran into the United Parcel Delivery man, who told him how to find me. The OPS man has delivered here more than once, even making a short stop on occasion to watch an engine run. Given that the FedEx box was labeled as containing a lawn mower engine, the GPS driver figured it was for me.
The shipping box was so clean it looked as if my neighbor had bought it and carried it over from his house. There were no marks, dents, bent corners or signs of any type of abuse or rough handling. The engine was packed very well and included paperwork about the fuel mixture (16:1), setting the timing (no keyway on these engines), the Villiers flywheel magneto and a compact disc with assembly instructions. Also on the CD were pictures of both engines sitting together before their final separation.Villiers Stationary Engine Serial Numbers Lookup
I unpacked the engine and put it together on the kitchen floor. My wife was not home at the time, and the pictures of it assembled were taken inside. The true test, of course, came when my wife returned home. As of this writing, the Villiers is still in the house, and I think she kind of likes the look of it. Jim built the stand it’s on, and liked it well enough to build one for his engine.

It’s A Small World After All
Just a few short years back, this kind of shipment would have been next to impossible, as few of us in the engine hobby had contacts overseas. But with computers and the Internet – and of course great friends like Jim and Helen French – it turns out that it really is a small world. Many, many thanks go out to a really neat family who shows that the love of old engines is shared around the world.

*Enough explanation, here’s how to install an OS X app from a DMG file: Find the downloaded file, which usually ends up in your Desktop or Downloads folder. Double-click the.DMG file to mount it. A new Finder window showing its contents should appear.
A .DMG file is a container file commonly used to distribute applications for Mac OS X. Installing software from one of these requires you to mount the image and move its contents to your computer’s “Applications” directory.
File - New - Disk Image from Folder or CMD+SHIFT+N Select the folder myapp.app/ when prompted then click Image. In the Save As field enter a name for the file like myapp.dmg. From the Image Format drop-down select read/write then click Save.
One of the most common mistakes I see among new Mac users is fumbling with how to install and open .dmg files or new software. The process for installing new applications on your Mac can be confusing at first because it differs greatly from Windows’ software installation process. Nevertheless, the Mac method of installing software is actually quite simple and intuitive once you are accustomed to it. If your desktop is littered with DMG files and white “drive”-looking icons, read on!
ContentsWhat are .DMG Files?
DMG stands for Disk Image, and is a format commonly used to distribute files and applications among Apple computers. A DMG file is like a virtual DVD or hard drive. They can be “mounted” on your Mac in order to work with their contents, or even burned to an actual physical disc.
Create desktop app for mac. In order to understand the concept of a DMG disk image, think of a storage volume such as a CD, DVD, hard drive, or external drive. A DMG file is like one of these devices in that it serves as a means to encapsulate documents, images, software, and other files. The difference is that with a DMG, there is no physical storage medium. There is only the DMG file, which can be written to a hard drive, burned to a CD or DVD, or sent over the Internet.
In order to work with the contents of a DMG file, you must mount the the disk image to your system. This may sound daunting, however “mounting” a DMG file with Mac OS X is no more complicated than double-clicking it’ icon. The operating system will load the load image and place a new icon both on your desktop, and in the sidebar of the Finder. The icon will have the same name as the DMG, and you’ll be able to browse through its contents like any other folder.
Once you are done working with the contents of the file, you will want to remove or “unmount” it from your system. Do this by opening the Finder and clicking the eject icon next to the virtual drive’s icon. Or, go to the Desktop, click once on the icon, and press CMD+E.

Software installation with Mac OS X is very different than in the Windows world. On a Windows PC you run an installer, tick off a few checkboxes, and wait for the progress meter to reach completion. There usually is no such “installation wizard” on a Mac &emdash; you simply drag and drop the program into your computer’s “Applications” directory. The trick is that most Mac applications are distributed as images called DMG files, and many new Mac users end up running applications directly from the image instead of installing them to the “Applications” directory.
Enough explanation, here’s how to install an OS X app from a DMG file:
*Find the downloaded file, which usually ends up in your Desktop or Downloads folder.
*Double-click the .DMG file to mount it. A new Finder window showing its contents should appear.
*If the window also contains a shortcut icon to “Applications”, drag and drop the app onto the shortcut.
*If not, double-click the mounted volume on your desktop and drag the app icon from there to the “Applications” icon in the Finder sidebar.Further Explanation
Alright, that was the abridged version. Here’s the long version. I’ve just downloaded the DeskLickr application, and the DeskLickr_1.2.dmg is sitting on my desktop. I double-click it and a new icon labeled “DeskLickr 1.2” appears on my desktop. Here’s what my desktop looks like at this point:
Since most of the time a new Finder window also pops up when the image is ready for use, this one is now sitting on my desktop:
Different applications are going to show you slightly different Finder windows. Each application’s designers like to add their own artwork. Glitter aside, most applications are trying to tell you the same thing. See the arrow pointing from the DeskLickr icon to the “Applications’ shortcut? It’s telling you to drag and drop the icon into that folder. Once you’ve done so, the app will be installed.
If a program doesn’t provide a shortcut to the Applications folder, you’ll need to pop open a new Finder window. Press CMD+N to open a new window, then drag the program over to “Applications” in the left-hand side of the window.

Once the new program is installed it’s time to do some house cleaning. You no longer need the disk image you downloaded, so follow these steps:
*Close any Finder windows that have been left open.
*Eject the disk image (not the .DMG file). Click on its desktop icon, then press CMD+E.
*Delete the .DMG file by dragging it to the trash.
That’s it! Your new Mac application is ready to use. But wait…
Diversity and inclusion drive innovation and create more opportunity. A survey by McKinsey & Company of more than 180 companies in France, Germany, the U.K. Demonstrates this fact. For companies in the top quartile for executive diversity, returns on equity were 53% higher than for those in the bottom quartile. Everyone talks about what makes millennials tick or how to market to them, so we forget they’re old news. Sure, we’ll still need to market to millenials for years to come, but it’s time to start focusing on Generation Z.
*Why Gen Z Customers Requires A New Approach Suggests
*Why Gen Z Customers Requires A New Approach Plan
*Why Gen Z Customers Requires A New Approach Emphasizes
*Why Gen Z Customers Requires A New Approach For A
Helpshift’s survey found that Gen Z has been the “most critical of retail” with 15.7 percent of Gen Z respondents indicating that “retail has the worst customer support of any industry.”. A new generation has arrived. Generation Z will soon surpass Millennials as the most populous generation on earth, with more than one-third of the world’s population counting themselves as Gen Zers. In the US, Gen Z constitutes more than a quarter of the population and, by 2020, will be the most diverse generation in the nation’s history.
At first glance, millennials and Gen Z might seem very similar. But if you look a little deeper, you start to see the subtle differences between the two generations—and these subtle differences are important to us marketers.
If you want to build your Gen Z customer base, then read on to learn the five ways you can successfully tweak your digital marketing strategy to tailor it for this younger audience. Here’s a preview of our top five strategies for marketing to Generation Z:
*Sell experiences, not products
*Video, video, video
*Rethink that major influencer campaign
*Engage with customers
*Highlight your dedication to privacyWho are Generation Z?
Before we can even begin to think about creating a digital marketing strategy, we first need to define Generation Z. Chrome update for mac.
Also referred to as the iGeneration, Generation Z covers anyone who was born between 1995 to the mid 2000s, and this demographic makes up 32% of the global population. Digitally savvy, they grew up with mobiles and iPads, and they don’t remember a time before the internet—unlike millennials.
The attention span of a Gen Zer is just eight seconds—that’s four seconds less than their millennial counterparts. So first impressions really do count. You either grab their attention in that short space of time, or you’ll be forgotten forever.
If your target market is Generation Z, then try these five strategies to increase brand awareness, leads, and sales. 1. Sell experiences, not products
Members of Gen Z aren’t interested in hard sells. Because they’ve grown up with the internet, they’re immune to obvious marketing campaigns. They don’t want to hear about why your product is so amazing; they want to know how it will benefit them. More specifically, what experience will your product bring them?
According to Mention, 25% of what you sell is your product. The additional 75% is the intangible feeling that comes with said product.
Think about Brandy Melville. You’d never know they were Italian, given the chilled, California vibes they project, but that’s because they’re really good at selling the experiences their clothes bring.
Sure, their clothes are cheap, cute, and come in one size only (a UK 6-8). But why do Gen Zers buy into their brand? Because they, too, will have access to that all-American lifestyle projected across Brandy Melville’s marketing channels. Just take a look at their Instagram, featuring Insta models at the beach or on endless US road trips, and you’ll see exactly what I mean. Why Gen Z Customers Requires A New Approach Suggests2. Video, video, video
Video content is key. A Google Survey revealed that YouTube is the first platform Generation Z turn to when they want to be cheered up or entertained.
But that’s not the only thing they use YouTube for. With 85% of teenagers actively using the platform, 80% do so to expand their knowledge, and 68% to improve or gain new skills. Other respondents said they used it to take a break from life’s stresses and deepen real-life connections, so ultimately there’s no end of use for YouTube.
With Gen Z a captive audience on YouTube, it’s the perfect place to hook them in—but it’s crucial you get it right.
Take Red Bull as an example. With over 8 million subscribers on its YouTube channel, Red Bull has several playlists, including a series called Red Bull Travel Vlogs. Collaborating with vloggers, Red Bull regularly posts active lifestyle videos with everything from skydiving over Lake Tahoe to base jumping the Italian Alps.
Remember my previous point of selling experiences and not products? Red Bull is a prime example. Never do these videos ever show a can of Red Bull, but the YouTube channel hints that if you buy the products, you too will have the drive and energy to travel the world, doing all of those adventurous, crazy things the vloggers do.
And YouTube isn’t the only place for video content: Instagram is huge, especially with Instagram Stories, and your website needs video content, too. 3. Rethink that major influencer campaign
In 2018, it was predicted that brands would spend $1.8 billion on Instagram influencers, with more than 14.5 million sponsored posts, and counting.
Sponsored posts could cost your business anywhere between £35 and £700,000, depending on who you collaborate with.
The top influencers of 2019 are Cristiano Ronaldo, Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez, but for the majority of brands, collaborating with a celebrity is highly unlikely—and that’s not a bad thing.
If you do want to go down the influencer route, then opt for micro-influencers instead. Defined as anyone who has a following of between 1,000 and 100,000 on social media, micro-influencers actually drive more engagement than their celebrity counterparts because Gen Z can relate to them. Stats show that once you’ve gained more than 100,000 followers, engagement levels tend to drop (and we’ll talk about how Gen Zers feel about engagement in just a minute).
Micro-influencers drive 60% higher engagement levels and 22.2% more weekly conversions—in addition to being 6.7x more cost efficient per engagement compared to influencers with larger followings.
And if you’re continuing with your carefully curated, staged images on Instagram, then think again. While millennials bought into the perfectly placed lattes and poses by aesthetically-pleasing walls, Gen Z are ditching brands that showcase this in favour of a more unfiltered, messier approach.
One brand using micro-influencers on social, is e.l.f. Cosmetics through their Beautyscape campaign. These events enable influencers to meet with each other, try out the latest products and learn new beauty techniques, which they share with their followers on Instagram, of course.4. Engage with customers
Multicultural marketinghow inclusiveness drives demanding. We’re all aware of the importance reviews plays in building brand trust, but this is absolutely crucial if your target market is Generation Z.
In fact, 76% of Gen Zers have stated they want brands to respond to feedback and view this responsiveness as key to determining the authenticity of a brand.
41% of this generation read at least five online reviews before making a purchase, and they share twice as much positive feedback than negative—so you want to build your number of reviews.
However, obtaining those reviews is just one step—you need to reply to them. If it’s positive feedback, then tailor your response so potential customers can see it’s not just a one-size-fits-all reply.
It goes without saying you should respond to negative feedback, too; you need to show readers that you have acknowledged the issue and are doing everything you can to resolve it.
Twitter remains a top place for complaints, and ASOS has mastered it by creating a separate account so customers know where they can get a response—that doesn’t ruin the business’s official account.5. Highlight your dedication to privacy
Research from NGen found that 88% of Gen Zers agreed with the statement: “Protecting my privacy is very important to me.”
A survey by IBM found that less than a third of teens are comfortable with sharing their personal details online, aside from contact information and purchase history. Yet, that same study found that 61% said they’d feel better sharing this personal information, if they trusted the brand would securely protect it.
So, if you’re targeting a Gen Z audience, take note of this. When you ask to collect information, do so with transparency, and openly highlight your commitment to ensuring their data remains safe and secure.Boost brand loyalty by marketing to Gen Z
While millennials and Generation Z might seem similar, if you scratch the surface, and you’ll see there is more than what meets the eye.
If your target market includes the younger of the two generations, then by tweaking your digital marketing strategy to incorporate the tips above, you can boost brand trust and loyalty with your Gen Z audience. Creating desktop application for mac os.

For years marketers have focused on the habits and trends of Millennial consumers. But if your brand relies on a younger audience, it’s time to get to know Gen Z. This generation is known as ambitious, conscientious, and technologically gifted. Marketing tactics that appealed to Baby Boomers, Gen X, or even Millennials cannot be relied on to attract the attention of Generation Z — and may even alienate them. The way marketers connect with this generation will require a radically different approach. To capture the devotion of this generation, there are a few things you need to keep in mind to understand who they are, and what drives them to take action.
So, Who Is Gen Z?
While an exact definition depends on who you ask, Generation Z consists of individuals who grew up during the Great Recession in the late 2000s. Meaning, anyone born after 1995.
For them, childhood and adolescence were defined by economic insecurity, smartphones, social media, and political upheaval — both in 2008, with the election of Barack Obama, and again in 2016 with Donald Trump.

The young adults of Gen Z are not, as some have mistakenly described them, extreme Millennials. They do however share the previous generation’s affinity for technology. As the first generation to have never experienced a world without internet or cell phones, they are the real tech-native generation — and they are very discerning when it comes to digital marketing. Why Does Marketing to Gen Z Matter?
This generation is larger and more influential than you may have realized. Fast Company suggests that this new generation will make up 40 percent of consumers by 2020. Gen Z is sizable and now boasts considerable buying power, especially as young adults score their first jobs in the workforce.
While they have a few things in common with Gen X and Millennials, these emerging adults require a radically different marketing approach. Let’s take a look at the most important considerations when marketing to the Gen Z crowd. Why Gen Z Customers Requires A New Approach Emphasizes1. How to Market to Gen Z
Gen Z is all about authenticity. According to Forbes, honesty and openness are increasingly the ‘currency of brands.’ 79% of Gen Z stated they trust a company more if the brand images aren’t Photoshopped; while 84% trust a company more if they use actual customers in their ads. Young adults want to connect with people who understand them and can get on their level. They also demand convenience and mobile optimization. Forget the slick marketing strategies of the past like flashy Superbowl commercials, or outdated branded content.2. Where to Market to Gen Z
The first step to building a stronger connection with Gen Z? Getting comfortable with their natural digital environment. By far, the most valuable avenues for marketing to this generation are in digital.
For Millennials, Facebook was the most popular social media site. However, it is by no means the most popular social media platform among Gen Z. You’ll instead find them flocking to platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube.
According to Pew Research, 45% of teens say they are online “almost constantly.” That means teens are dedicating a significant portion of their day to their favorite channels. Gen Z continually consumes, creates, and engages with much more visual content over text exclusive status updates.3. Draw on the Power of Influencers and Micro-Influencers
This may be the first generation in decades to show less affinity for Hollywood’s influence. Young adults regard typical celebrity shenanigans as inauthentic and unrelatable. Instead, brand influencers attract Gen Z’s attention. Influencers determine their personal brand early on through posting authentic User-Generated Content (UGC), and build personal connections with their young followers. Their audience relates more to people who are just like them, instead of celebrities. Smart marketers know they can’t be influencers themselves, so they identify brand influencers whose values align with their brand and work with them to reach young adults.
Remember, brand influencers post about products they love because there is a personal connection, not because they’re paid to do so. Gen Z is increasingly showing interest in micro-influencers, who focus on niche subjects and attract anywhere between 10,000 and 100,000 highly-invested followers.
Social Report outlined 7 of the top micro-influencers that brands sponsor. One micro-influencer @physicalkitchness provides solutions to more than 72 thousand followers about healthy meals and features brands that cater to a healthy lifestyle. Since influencers like @physicalkitchness have already earned the trust of her audience, it’s easy to see how brands can also feel that trust when an influencer shares a brand’s content. This form of UGC attracts a new audience, where followers are more likely to purchase a brand’s products and become continued subscribers to a brand’s content.4. Optimize for Mobile
If you haven’t already optimized your marketing efforts for mobile devices, you have fallen far behind. Smartphones and tablets are essential for Gen Z, who abandons brands that fail to offer a seamless mobile experience. As with Millennials, the young adults of this generation are constantly attached to their phones. According to Google, Gen Z craves connection with others — and that doesn’t just mean in person. These young adults prefer to use texting as their first choice of communication followed by messaging apps. They appreciate websites optimized for mobile devices, easy-to-use apps, and text-based offers. Geotargeting works well for Gen Z; they’re happy to score a deal if it’s within easy reach.5. Prioritize ConvenienceWhy Gen Z Customers Requires A New Approach For A
Busy to a fault, Gen Z is willing to pay a premium for any service that saves them time. Think Netflix, Amazon, or DoorDash. This generation doesn’t just appreciate free two-day shipping; they expect it. Brands can’t hesitate to emphasize convenience — it’s a must! Gen Z doesn’t just want to order online and pick it up. They want things delivered right to them and that especially includes marketing messages. The top brands among this generation will be those who can consistently deliver on time as promised.

With an authentic message and a healthy dose of convenience, it’s possible to inspire loyalty from the young adults of Gen Z. At TINT, we help brands leverage User Generated Content to tell their best stories in an innovative and memorable way. For every software that you wish to deploy using Desktop Central, a package should be created. The package contains the details of the software application, its installation location and the installation/uninstallation commands. The packages once created can be used to deploy software to any number of computers later. The software application, which needs to be deployed to target computers should be uploaded to a particular location. This should be accessible only via ’HTTP share’. ’Network Share’ is not applicable for Mac, unlike Windows. Administrators should specify the HTTP path while creating a software package.
Installables can be uploaded only in .dmg format. If you want to upload the installable, which is in .pkg/.mpkg /.app format or upload more than one installable, then it should be compressed and uploaded in .zip, .tar, .gz, .bz2, .tgz, .tbz or .dmg format.Creating Software Package with Single File
Creating a package to install with a single installable file is very easy. Follow the steps mentioned below:
*
Navigate to Software Deployment -> Add Packages -> Mac.
*
Specify a name for the Package and provide the details of the package for your personal reference.
*
Click Installation tab
*
Click Browse, under Upload Files upload the installable (software application) that needs to be deployed to the target computers. The installable should be in .pkg/.mpkg or .app format.
You have successfully created a package with a single installation file.Creating Software Package with Multiple Files
The steps to create a package with multiple files, is the same like creating a package with single installation file. some software applications like Office, would require more than one installation file, in such cases administrators can upload the installable files in .zip, .tar, .gz, .bz2, .tgz, .tbz or .dmg format. These files will be extracted to identify the .pkg/.mpkg or .app files. these files are the same likeUsing Installation Commands
Administrators can use installation commands if they want to customize the installation or change the default installation location. If installation command is not specified, then the software application will be installed using the default installation commands. The following are examples, of how commands can be used to change the default installation location:
For pkg: installer -pkg ’/Volumes/Wireshark/Wireshark 1.10.0 Intel 64.pkg -target ’/Volumes/Drive1’For app: ditto ’/Volumes/Appcleaner/appcleaner.app’ ’/TargetPath/appcleaner.app’
If you are uploading the installable in compressed format, then you can specify only the installable’s name in the installation command.Uninstalling a Software
A software can be removed by specifying the appropriate installed location. If there is more than one file that needs to be removed, then you can add more than one location or use a script for uninstallation. Uninstallation command can be specified under, ’Advanced Options’. If you write a script of your own, then it is recommended to test it, before it is added to the software package.
Scripts can be uploaded in .sh (shell script), .scpt(Apple Script), .pl(Perl Script), .py(Phyton Script) formats.Removing Software for All UsersCreating Desktop Application For Mac Os

In Mac OS Lion, Apple introduced Mission Control which is a mix of Spaces and Expose.
In Mission Control you have the ability to create multiple desktops that allow you to group applications into different desktops.
So, if you are working on a graphic design project you can have a desktop that contains photoshop, an art sample in Finder and a color picker app.
Then you can setup another desktop for internet browsing and iTunes. And another desktop to contain Mail and iCal.
The great thing about this feature is that you can only see the apps you are working with, which helps reduce clutter on your desktop.Creating Desktop Application For Mac Download

Turn your web pages into perfect printouts
TCPDF, one of the most active projects hosted on Sourceforge.net, implements a powerful PDF-generation engine, entirely in PHP. This makes it easy to install, even on sites where you can’t access the system directories or compile your own code. And it makes iterative development quite easy by letting you immediately see the results generated by your PHP code without any intermediate steps.
Pwl timescalefactor=0.5 valuescalefactor=2 (0 0.5 1 1 0) More information on the pulse, sine, exponential, single frequency FM and an arbitrary piece-wise linear functions is available in the LTspice help file (F1).
TCPDF supports a range of useful image formats, including the SVG vector format and bitmap formats, such as JPEG and PNG. A simple stand-alone utility lets you process TrueType, OpenType, PostScript Type 1, and CID-0 fonts so they can be added to TCPDF-created documents. You can use TCPDF to generate myriad 1-D and 2-D barcode formats, and it supports all of the usual PDF features like bookmarks, document links, compression, annotations, document encryption, and digital signatures.
TCPDF and pages using it are written in PHP, making it easy to create and deploy PDF-generating Web pages. While you can develop and deploy TCPDF using any supported Web server and your favorite PHP development environment, I’ll use the following:
*Eclipse V3.5.2 — One of my preferred open source development environments, which has support for a wide range of programming languages and environments.
*PHP Development Tools V2.2.0 — A PHP plug-in for Eclipse.
*MAMP Pro V1.9 — A handy package for Mac OS X, which provides Apache, MySQL, and PHP in an isolated environment with a helpful GUI front end. Even though Mac OS X ships with Apache and PHP installed, I opted to use this because it provides a stable and easily segregated set of Web server/database/PHP.
*TCPDF V5.0.006 — The current stable version of TCPDF.
You can find download links to all of these in the Related topics section.
Let’s take a look at how you can use TCPDF in your own web sites, as long as you have PHP installed. We’ll go over the installation process, then we’ll use PHP to generate a web page showing an invoice-style document that could come from any e-commerce site. After that, we’ll use TCPDF to create a printable PDF version of the invoice using similar formatting.Installing TCPDF
When you download TCPDF from Sourceforge.net, it comes in a self-contained ZIP archive. That is, you can use your favorite ZIP extraction tool to unpack the archive, and you’ll end up with a TCPDF directory containing everything you need to get started.
If you add the TCPDF directory to your web documents directory, you can access the TCPDF documentation by loading doc/index.html and view any of the examples, which are also found on the TCPDF web site (see Related topics), by loading the examples/index.php file.
Before you can view the examples, however, you need to configure your TCPDF installation.Configuration — UNIX-like systems
If you’re installing TCPDF on a UNIX®-like system, you need to change the file modes so they’re not all flagged as executable. This is a side-effect of the TCPDF archive being created on a Microsoft® Windows® system. Luckily, it’s easy to adjust these in one whack from the shell (see Listing 1). You also need to make sure that the cache and images directories are writable, since TCPDF will store temporary files there.
Next, you need to assign the files to the user and group the web server; this is often the user www and group www, but it will depend on your system. If you’re running TCPDF out of your personal web-site area, (often public_html in your home directory), you can skip this step.Listing 1. Adjusting file modes and ownership
Note that the command might use a . instead of : to separate the user and group on some systems; if it complains, check its documentation for details.Configuration for everyone
Using your favorite text editor, load the config/tcpdf_config.php file. This is TCPDF’s configuration settings and lets you control the library’s defaults, as well as telling it how to find its support files.
Settings you might want to change in tcpdf_config.php include:
*PDF_PAGE_FORMAT— Set this to letter if you’re not using metric page formats. TCPDF probably supports more page sizes than your printer unless you’ve got something very exotic on hand.
*PDF_UNIT— Set this to pt if you’d rather use points instead of millimeters for laying out your PDF document.
*PDF_CREATOR, PDF_AUTHOR— Default document creator and author, in case your PDF-generating code forgets to set them.
You can adjust any of these settings in your PHP code, too, so don’t worry if you’re not sure (for example, if you set portrait-mode document layouts here, you can still create landscape documents).
With the default configuration settings, TCPDF should have no trouble rendering any of the examples it ships with, assuming you haven’t moved the files and directories away from their original locations.
At this point, you can load the example files to make sure you’ve got a working TCPDF installation. Let’s use it to create a printable version of an invoice.Creating an invoice
After you’ve created your e-commerce masterpiece of a web site, your customers are going to order things, and you’ll take their money. This is great, but they’ll want some sort of invoice in case the order goes wrong or their credit card company messes up the payment.
Let’s make a reasonably nice-looking invoice web page so they can see what they’ve ordered and what you’re going to charge them.First version — The Web page
Using my favorite PHP development environment, I’ve created a new Invoice folder containing these files:
*Invoice.php — PHP to generate an invoice
*Invoice.css — CSS styling for the invoice
*Azuresol_OnyxTree-S.png — ’OnyxTree S’ by Azuresol, which you’ll use as your company logo (a free icon from the iconfinder.com Web site (see Related topics))
*gentleface_print.png — ’Print’ by gentleface, which you’ll use to trigger the PDF generation (another free icon from iconfinder.com)
Inside Invoice.php, check to see if the page was called with the PDF argument (see Listing 2). When it’s not, the user is after a normal web page, so you display the page using the generateHTML function (see Listing 3). You’ll look at the generatePDF function later, but it’s safe to assume that you’ll use it to generate a PDF of the invoice data.Listing 2. Page-generation control code
The $invoiceData array holds all of your invoice data; you create it directly in Invoice.php, but you can imagine the data coming from a database, web service, or some sort of online shopping cart system.Listing 3. Generating the HTML
I’ve cut out all of the HTML markup code here for brevity; you can see it in the Invoice.php found in the CreatingPDFs-Invoice.zip archive, which can be found in the Downloadable resources section.
Using the invoice information passed to the function as $data, create a table containing one row per item, along with its quantity, unit price, and total price. At the end of the table, add a row containing the total cost of the order. The page footer contains the user’s user ID and the date/time when the invoice was prepared.
Straightforward stuff, of course, and the main challenges when implementing this on your own site will be interacting with your data sources and getting the CSS styling just right.Figure 1. The web page invoice in all its glory
My entirely fictional South Seas Pacifica company supplies fine coffee and tea, and apparently I have a serious addiction to the Sumatran variety. At least their prices are good!
The printer icon in the bottom right is inviting, and you’d expect to be able to click there and get a printout of the invoice. This is where TCPDF comes in. Instead of just printing the web page, you’re going to give our valued customers a swanky PDF version they can print at their leisure.Second version — The PDF
Now that you have the web page invoice looking good, you need to create a PDF version that can be printed.
As you recall from Listing 2, loading the Invoice.php page with the PDF argument (http://.../Invoice.php?PDF) will call the generatePDF function with the same data (see Listing 4).Listing 4. Generating the PDF invoice
The generatePDF function creates an InvoicePdf object, calls its CreateInvoice method, then sends the PDF document as a download named Your_Invoice.pdf to the user’s browser. This looks extremely easy, but hides the fact that I had to create the InvoicePdf class myself, duplicating the original Invoice styling. Let’s see how.
The InvoicePdf class extends TCPDF’s TCPDF class, which is the main PDF-generating engine. In the constructor (see Listing 5), initialize the parent class using the $orientation (page orientation), $unit (measurement unit), and $format (page size) that were passed in. The last three arguments of the TCPDF constructor indicate that the input is Unicode (the default, true), the character encoding of our generated PDF will be UTF-8, and that you shouldn’t use disk caching (false). Disk caching reduces the in-memory footprint while creating a PDF, but is slower. Because our document isn’t large or complex, there’s no point in making this trade-off.
After initializing the parent class, store a reference to the invoice data for later. Next, set the page margins to 72 points on left and right and 36 points at the top using the SetMargins method. The SetMargins final argument indicates that you’re overriding the default page margins with our own values. Using the SetAutoPageBreaks method, tell TCPDF to automatically create a new page when you’re 36 points from the bottom of the page.Listing 5. The InvoicePdf class constructor
After setting up the margins, set the PDF document meta information. This will show up in the document properties window inside your favorite PDF viewer. These are just strings, so you can set them to whatever makes sense for your application.
Using the setImageScale method, use the default image scaling ratio set in TCPDF’s configuration file. This is used to adjust bitmapped image sizes from their pixel size to something suitable for the page.
Finally, use setLanguageArray to set some language-dependent strings for the PDF file; these are defined in the language-specific config file loaded by TCPDF’s main configuration.
In Listing 6, you override the Header method, which is called to generate the content for each page’s header. First, define some variables. Starting with a bigFont size of 14 points, you figure out the relative size of the logo image and the normal text relative to the bigFont size. Then you dig into TCPDF calls.
The ImagePngAlpha method inserts the logo image placing its top-left corner at 72 points in and 36 points down, which matches your margin settings from before. Because it’s a square image, you can specify the same width and height (the calculated $imageScale). You’ll indicate that it’s a PNG image because this call can actually insert PNG and JPEG images (if you have the GD library installed in your PHP setup, it can also load any image supported by GD). Next, specify a null because you’re not adding a PDF link (created with the AddLink method) target for this image. Next, use T to indicate that you want the next PDF object to be drawn at the top-right corner of the image area. Finally, tell TCPDF not to resize the image, that it was originally 72 dpi (a common screen resolution), and that the image should be left-aligned on the page.
Clearly, the ImagePngAlpha method gives you a lot of control over how images are added to a page in a PDF document (see Listing 6).Listing 6. Page header generation
After the logo image has been placed in the header, set the font (Times bold, with your bigFont size), then create a number of cells to hold the company name and address information. These cells contain text, and work a bit like table cells in HTML. The Cell method takes these arguments (and a bunch more, actually; refer to the TCPDF documentation for a complete list):
*Width— Cell width; if set to 0, the cell will extend all the way to the right-hand margin (or left-hand margin if you’re using a right-to-left language).
*Height— Cell height; if set to 0, the cell’s height will expand so its contents fit.
*Text— The text to draw inside the cell, using the current font and color settings.
*Border— Indicates whether a border should be drawn around the cell. In this case, you don’t want any borders, so you’re using 0. You could also pass 1 to draw a complete border around the cell, or a string to indicate specific borders’ sides.
*Position— Indicates where to create the next cell; 1 indicates that you want it to appear at the start of the next line, but you can use 0 to add the next cell beside this one, or 2 to stay at the current X position and move down to the next line.
Finally, our Header method draws a two-point black line all the way across the page’s content area at the bottom of the header. Figure 2 shows you how this will look on the page, as rendered by Mac OS X’s Preview application.Figure 2. The print header, just like the web page header
Now that you’ve created a reasonable facsimile of the original header, you also need to override the Footer method so you can generate the footer. This is much simpler, containing just the user’s ID and the invoice date, separated from the rest of the page by another two-point black line.
The only part of this method you haven’t already seen is calling the SetY method with a negative value. When you do this, the current Y is set relative to the bottom of the page. Here, you’re leaving a generous amount of space for the page footer to ensure that you’re not drawing too close to the bottom margin (see Listing 7).Listing 7. Page footer generation
When you create the page, this comes out looking like the web version of the invoice, minus the printer icon. You’re leaving this off because this is the print version (it’s redundant). Figure 3 has the results.Figure 3. The printed footer
At this point, you have a blank page with a nice header and footer. You need to add the actual invoice content for this to be useful.
After using the AddPage method to start a fresh page (the only page, in this case), set the font to 11-point Helvetica and move the insertion point to 144 points from the top of the page. This leaves us a little room below the header before the table begins.
Next, calculate the amount of indent you’ll need to center the table, based on the page width, two 72-point margins, one wide column, and three regular columns.
After that, you create a series of cells to render the column headings using the previously calculated values and drawing full borders for each cell. You also right-align the headers for the numeric columns so they line up with the values. At the end of the header cells, you call the Ln method to move down to the start of the next line.
You do the same sort of layout for each content row via a foreach loop that iterates through the items on the invoice (see Listing 8).Listing 8. Page content generation
The last bit of code renders the total row. This demonstrates how you can change font styles easily between cells (by calling the SetFont method to turn on and off the bold). The first text cell’s width is set to span the first three columns of the table since you want the invoice total to appear at the bottom of the final column.
Once you’re done, the invoice item table looks pretty good (see Figure 4).Figure 4. The items on the invoice
By logically laying out text cells, you’ve recreated the original web invoice in a format well suited to printing. TCPDF lets you add support for creating PDFs to your existing PHP web pages without requiring changes to the web page itself or any of the underlying data.Summary
In this article, you were introduced to TCPDF, a popular PHP library for generating PDF documents. TCPDF does this without requiring any extra libraries, making it easy to install as part of your existing PHP web site. You were shown an overview of installing and configuring TCPDF on UNIX-like systems. Then you created a simple web-based invoice, similar to the sort of thing you might see on an e-commerce site specializing in exotic hot drinks.
Once you had a web page that looked like a professional invoice, you extended the TCPDF class to produce a PDF version of the invoice, which the customer could then download or print at leisure. Overriding the Header and Footer methods let us set up the page in a familiar manner, then you wrote an additional method to lay out the invoice items as a table.Downloadable resources
